First Mani of 2012!

I'm going to see how long I can keep my fake nails off so I can blog more! I painted on 2 coats of Essie's "Mink Muffs" as a base coat. A super creamy greyish brown creme that I love! On top of that I took a striped brush dipped in OPI "I Brake For Manicures" and made six lines in groups of threes coming from the edge of the nail in. I wanted to add a little bit of shimmer so I also drew on lines of OPI "Meet Me At The Star Ferry", a pinkish brown shimmer that looks really nice paired with Mink Muffs.

NYE Mani #2

Ahhh... Much better. A NYE mani worthy of drinking and smooching the night away. I used "School of Hard Rocks" by Essie as a base color.  Then did a suuuper thin French tip in blueish glitter "Nail Junkie" by Sinful Colors. You can barely see it in the picture, but it looks awesome in person. I used a silver striper polish to do these little bursts coming from the corners of my nail bed. In the center of the silver bursty thing, I put a tiny silver rhinestone surrounded by tiny silver hexagons. Wish I could find my camera cord so I could upload better pictures of everything! Sorry!

Neons

I tried to do winter colors this holiday season, but it just wouldnt happen. I like having bright, colorful nails, and more importantly, neons. So heres a basic design with orange, yellow and green; the colors are the same on the other hand but in a different order. Black stripes and rhinestones. Short post- laters!

Crazy Ass Nails OMG

I just got a little carried away with my nails and I'm not even going to explain how I did these. My nails apparently DID NOT enjoy this design; THREE of my acrylic nails broke or fell off RIGHT AFTER I did this. Do not attempt this design: very bad luck!

New green tips!

The lighter green on the tips is from my new stash, its "Big Money Frost" by NYC, underneath it is "Carribean Frost" by Wet N Wild. I did a layered asymetrical tip with black stripes coming from one corner. I'm going to call that kind of a design a "burst" until I can figure out another word that describes it. Anyways, I made the bursts black with my striping brush and on a few of them I painted a light coat of glitter just on top of the burst and coming out on to the ends of the stripes. It looked really cool in the sunlight, but not sure if you can see it in the pictures.
