30 Day Nail Challenge - Day 29 - Inspired by the Supernatural - Dia De Los Muertos

Dia de los muertos! I have been waiting to do this all month... Still not happy with how it came out. I should have been layering top coat the whole time to smooth out all these details!!! Now in the middle of the nail where the skulls are, there is basically a pile of polish... Not a good look.

I painted each nail a different color, pink, yellow, orange, blue, and green. Added contrasting flowers to the corners of the nails for some spice. Then painted my white skull shapes on. I decorated the skulls with dots and flower shapes and when I couldn't fit any more deco on, I outlined with black and added my eyes. Wish  I had recieved my package today I could have added something cool into the eye holes... :(

Punk Inspired Nails

I was fully through painting cute butterflies and flowers on my nails and wanted to move onto something a little racy... Here I have my black & neon stars, skulls and what have you, a neon pink set with a web and a matching spider (spider webs aren't just for Halloween! I have a house full of them to prove it), and a racy little corset design where I actually left the middle part unpainted to give it a nude effect (oooh la laaa). Enjoi.

New colors

My roomate brought home a ton of new nail polishes this afternoon including the new Sally Hansen HD polish. We got "Blu", a see-through sparkly medium blue, and "LCD", a see-though bright pink with tiny tiny blue sparkles in it. I used NYC "Pink Promenade Creme" as a base for my french tips and then topped them off with the "LCD". Then I added some twinkle designs with my striping brush in Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure "Calypso Blue" to bring out the blue sparkles in the pink, but I'm not sure if you can really see it in the pictures. Then I stuck some rhinestones on there and topped everything off with some top coat.
I was playing around before I did all my nails and painted this really cute skull, which I later redid on my roomate when I painted her nails. Enjoi.
